On January 19, 2016, Flotek Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release providing preliminary financial information for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 and announcing that it will hold a conference call to discuss its operating results. The January 19, 2016 press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.

The January 19, 2016 press release also announced that the Special Technical Committee appointed to develop an independent methodology to analyze the performance of the Company’s CnF® chemistries has retained MHA Petroleum Consultants, LLC of Denver as the principal investigators for the project. The press release also provided commentary on the creation of a special committee of independent directors to direct the review of issues related to the Company’s FracMax® software and the efficacy of CnF®, and notice from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of an inquiry related to FracMax® software and the efficacy of CnF®.
