Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 28, 2015, iRobot Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors has authorized a new share repurchase plan whereby the Company may purchase up to one million shares of its common stock beginning January 4, 2016 through December 31, 2016. This plan will replace the Company’s current share repurchase plan, which was originally scheduled to end on April 30, 2016, but which the Company has terminated effective January 3, 2016. A copy of the press release announcing the Company’s new share repurchase plan is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
