Item 8.01. Other Events
On December 18, 2015, OG&E filed a rate case with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission requesting a rate increase of $92.5 million. OG&E had previously disclosed its intent to file the general rate case. OG&E seeks to recover $1.6 billion of electric infrastructure additions since OG&E’s last general rate case in Oklahoma, the impact of the expiration of OG&E’s wholesale contracts and increased operating costs. The related press release and copy of the application were filed as Exhibit 99.01 and 99.02, respectively, to OGE Energy's Form 8-K filed December 23, 2015 and are incorporated herein by reference.
