Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 23, 2015, InvenTrust Properties Corp. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that a preliminary registration statement on Form 10 was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission outlining the details of a potential plan to spin-off Highlands REIT, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company that will own the Company’s remaining “non-core” assets. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
