Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 20, 2015, Altera Corporation (the “Company”) received written notice from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (“MOFCOM”) that MOFCOM has approved Intel Corporation’s proposed acquisition of the Company. The notice from MOFCOM satisfies the final regulatory condition to closing the acquisition.
The acquisition is expected to close on or about December 28, 2015.
