Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 18, 2015, Manning & Napier, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it had signed an agreement to acquire a majority interest in Rainier Investment Management, LLC, a Seattle, Washington based, active investment management firm. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
