Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 4, 2015, Rush Enterprises, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company’s Board of Directors approved a new stock repurchase program authorizing the Company to repurchase up to an aggregate of $40 million of its shares of Class A common stock, $.01 par value per share, and/or Class B common stock, $.01 par value per share. The new stock repurchase program replaces the Company’s previous $40 million stock repurchase program that was announced on January 29, 2015.
A copy of the press release announcing the new stock repurchase program is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
