Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 1, 2015, First Mid-Illinois Bancshares, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that The Checkley Agency, Inc. d/b/a First Mid Insurance Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, acquired certain assets used by Illiana Insurance Agency, Ltd., an Illinois corporation, in connection with its health plan and life insurance and annuities business.
A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
