Item 8.01 Other Events.
In connection with the research collaboration and license agreement that Avalanche Biotechnologies, Inc. (the “Company”) and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Regeneron”) entered into in May 2014, Regeneron acquired a time-limited right of first negotiation for a potential license to develop and commercialize AVA-101. On November 2, 2015, Regeneron notified the Company that it is not exercising this right of first negotiation.
