Explanatory Note.
Dollar Tree, Inc. (the "Company") is filing this Amendment No. 1 on Form 8-K/A to amend its Current Report on Form 8-K, as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 1, 2015 (the "Original Filing"). The Company is filing this amendment to its Original Filing to correctly identify the filing Item as Item 2.02 rather than Item 2.01 as it was filed in the Original Filing.
Except as indicated above, no other information included in the Original Filing is amended by this Form 8-K/A Amendment No. 1. In addition, this Amendment No. 1 does not otherwise update information in the Original Filing to reflect facts or events occurring subsequent to the date of the Original Filing.
Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
Today, September 1, 2015, Dollar Tree, Inc. issued a press release reporting its fiscal 2015 second quarter sales and earnings results and announcing that it will hold a publicly available telephone conference call to discuss these results. A copy of the press release is attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by this reference.
The information contained in items 2.02 and 7.01, including that incorporated by reference, is being furnished to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
