On Aug. 18, 2015, the Board of Directors of Xcel Energy Inc. (the Company) elected James T. Prokopanko to the Board of Directors, effective immediately, for a term expiring at the Company’s 2016 annual meeting of shareholders. Mr. Prokopanko will serve on the Company’s Operations, Nuclear, Environmental and Safety Committee and its Audit Committee. Mr. Prokopanko will receive compensation for his Board service consistent with the compensation received by the Company’s other non-employee directors, as disclosed in the Company’s Schedule 14A, Definitive Proxy Statement filed on April 6, 2015 (file no. 001-03034), prorated from the commencement of his service on the Board to the date of the 2016 annual shareholders meeting.
