Item 8.01 Other Events.
On July 30, 2015, State Bank Financial Corporation announced that Remer Y. Brinson will be named President of the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary bank, State Bank and Trust Company, effective July 30, 2015. Upon Mr. Brinson’s appointment on July 30, 2015, J. Thomas Wiley, Jr. will no longer serve as President of State Bank and Trust Company. Mr. Wiley will continue to serve as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of State Bank and Trust Company. A press release regarding Mr. Brinson’s appointment is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
