Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 19, 2015, Select Medical Holdings Corporation issued a press release announcing the United States Department of Justice’s decision not to intervene in a False Claims Act lawsuit filed in 2012 by three former employees of Select Specialty Hospital — Evansville located in Evansville, Indiana. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
