Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 12, 2015, Acceleron Pharma Inc. issued a press release announcing new preliminary results from the ongoing phase 2 clinical trials of luspatercept in patients with lower risk myelodysplastic syndromes and in patients with beta-thalassemia that were highlighted in oral presentations at the 20th Congress of the European Hematology Association in Vienna, Austria.
A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
