Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Effective June 1, 2015, J. Raymond Fulp and Brooks Sheldon retired as members of the Boards of Directors of Ameris Bancorp (the “Company”) and its wholly owned banking subsidiary, Ameris Bank. These retirements were pursuant to provisions of the Company’s bylaws that require a director to retire after reaching 70 years of age.
