On May 21, 2015, Unum Group announced that its Board of Directors has authorized an increase in the quarterly dividend to be paid on its common stock. The new quarterly dividend rate of $0.185 per common share will be effective with the dividend expected to be paid in the third quarter of 2015. A copy of a news release concerning the dividend increase is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
A live webcast of the company’s 2015 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, which may include discussion of the dividend increase, will be accessible from the investors section of the company’s website (www.investors.unum.com) on May 21, 2015, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
