VIRGIN AMERICA REPORTS APRIL 2015 OPERATIONAL RESULTS

San Francisco – Thursday 7 May, 2015 – Virgin America (NASDAQ: VA) today reported its preliminary operational results for April 2015. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 2.8 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 1.2 percent higher than the same month in 2014.

Load factor was 85.4 percent, up 1.3 points from April 2014. The number of onboard passengers increased 4.8 percent from the same month last year.
