On April 28, 2015, Dr. Thomas A. Carlstrom, age 69, retired neurosurgeon, informed the Chairman of West Bancorporation, Inc. (the “Company”) of his intention to retire from the board of directors of the Company and therefore not stand for re-election to the board at its next annual meeting of shareholders to be held in April of 2016. Dr. Carlstrom will continue to serve as a director until the 2016 annual meeting. Dr. Carlstrom has served as a director of the Company since 2009 and as a director of the Company’s subsidiary, West Bank, since 1996.
