Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 24, 2015, D.R. Horton, Inc. (the "Company") acquired the homebuilding operations of Pacific Ridge Homes for approximately $72 million in cash. Pacific Ridge Homes operates in Seattle, Washington. The assets acquired included approximately 90 homes in inventory, 350 lots and control of approximately 400 additional lots through option contracts. The Company also acquired a sales order backlog of 41 homes valued at $18.0 million. A copy of the press release announcing this acquisition is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference in its entirety into this Item 8.01.
