Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 11, 2015, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (the Company) announced that the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System did not object to its revised 2015 capital plan, which includes the repurchase of outstanding common stock, an increase to its quarterly common stock dividend and the possible issuance and redemption of other capital securities. The Company intends to increase its quarterly common stock dividend by five cents a share to $0.65 per share, effective in the second quarter of 2015, subject to its Board of Directors’ approval.
