(b) On March 4, 2015, Dr. Sharon van Wyk notified American Public Education, Inc. (the "Company") of her resignation as Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer of the Company, effective March 13, 2015, in order to accept the position of President of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com.
