On March 4, 2015, Acucela Inc. (“Acucela”) issued a press release relating to its 2015 annual meeting of shareholders and the demand from SBI Holdings, Inc., the parent corporation of several Acucela shareholders, that Acucela hold a special meeting of its shareholders.
A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
