Item 8.01. Other Events.
On February 20, 2015, New York REIT, Inc. issued a press release announcing that as a result of its previously disclosed change in auditors, it expects to delay the filing of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2014, beyond the required filing date of March 2, 2015. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
