Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 18, 2015, Ocera Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the preliminary topline results from a Phase 2a investigator-sponsored study evaluating the Company’s drug candidate OCR-002 (ornithine phenylacetate) versus placebo in patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding associated with liver cirrhosis. The full text of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
