On February 13, 2015, Athens Bancshares Corporation issued a press release to report that its wholly-owned subsidiary Athens Federal Community Bank has applied to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for permission to convert to a national bank. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporate herein by reference.
