ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS
On January 21, 2015, SinoCoking Coal & Coke Chemical Industries, Inc. issued a press release announcing that its underground coal gasification facility for the production of clean-burning syngas had been designated as a technology demonstration project by the Henan Pindingshan Shilong District Science and Technology Bureau. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
