ITEM 8.01 Other Events
On January 13, 2015, Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. (“Company”) announced that its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend on the Company’s common stock of $0.12 per share, payable on March 2, 2015 to shareholders of record on February 18, 2015. The Company also announced that it expects to declare and pay a proposed regular quarterly dividend during fiscal year 2015 of $0.12 per share of the Company’s common stock.
The announcement, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, is incorporated herein by reference.
