On December 18, 2014, Unum Group (the “Company”) announced that Liston Bishop III, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, has informed the Company that he will be retiring at the end of March 2015.
Lisa G. Iglesias, who most recently served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. from February 2012 to December 2014, has been named to succeed Mr. Bishop as Executive Vice President and General Counsel effective January 8, 2015. Mr. Bishop will remain with the Company until his retirement in order to facilitate an effective transition of responsibilities. A copy of the Company’s news release concerning these management changes is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
