Item 8.01. Other Events
On December 12, 2014, Matson, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that David L. Hoppes gave notice to the Company that he would retire from his position as Senior Vice President, Ocean Services of the Company, effective March 31, 2015. John P. Lauer, currently a Vice President of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Matson Navigation Company, Inc., will become Senior Vice President, Ocean Services of the Company effective March 31, 2015. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
The information in this report (including Exhibit 99.1) is being furnished pursuant to Item 8.01 and shall not be deemed to be “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
