Item 8.01. Other Events.
On October 29, 2014, Whirlpool Italia Holdings S.r.l. (“Whirlpool Italia”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation, issued a press release in Italy regarding the approval by Consob of Whirlpool Italia’s offer document for its pending mandatory tender offer for the remaining outstanding shares of Indesit Company S.p.A. A copy of the press release is attached and incorporated herein by reference.
