Item 8.01. Other Events.
On October 6, 2014, Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing the results from its Phase 3, multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, pivotal clinical trial of vosaroxin in combination with cytrabine in patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. A copy of the press release issued concerning the foregoing is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
