Item 8.01 Other Events
On October 2, 2014, senior members of the leadership team of Republic Airways Holdings Inc. ("Republic") met with the National Mediation Board ("NMB") to discuss next steps in working toward a new labor contract with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters ("IBT"), which represents Republic's pilots. After this meeting and a separate meeting with the IBT, the NMB elected to schedule a joint session with Republic and the IBT to occur on October 22, 2014 to determine the best path forward, whether inside or outside of mediation.
