Item 8.01                                           Other Events.

 

Trial before the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Orange of the previously reported lawsuit filed by Relator Michael Strathmann against CombiMatrix Corporation (the “Company”) and the Company’s former parent Acacia Research Corporation, commenced on June 12, 2014.  On August 22, 2014, the evidence portion of the trial concluded and the parties have until September 29, 2014 to file summation briefs with the Court.  The parties will then have until October 10, 2014 to file briefs in reply to the other parties’ summation briefs.  By statute, the Court will have up to 90 days from October 10, 2014 to render a decision in this case.
