Item 8.01 Other Events.
On August 27, 2014, NanoString Technologies, Inc. (“NanoString” or the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the unexpected death of its Chief Medical Officer, J. Wayne Cowens, M.D. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
