Bank of the James Announces Second Quarter 2014 Dividend

Lynchburg, VA., August 19, 2014 – The Board of Directors of Bank of the James Financial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BOTJ), the parent company of Bank of the James, a full-service commercial and retail bank serving the Greater Lynchburg MSA, commonly known as “Region 2000” and other markets in Central Virginia, has declared a cash dividend for the second quarter of 2014 of $0.05 per common share. The dividend is payable on October 3, 2014 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 19, 2014.

While the Company intends to declare dividends on a quarterly basis, future declarations of dividends are subject to approval of the Board of Directors and will depend on the Company’s results of operations, financial condition and other factors considered relevant by the board.
