On August 14, 2014, Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Garrett E. Pierce as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Pierce will become Chairman effective September 28, 2014. Mr. Pierce has served on the Board of Directors since 2005, and will continue to receive the standard director compensation arrangements for the Chairman described in the Company’s Proxy Statement for the 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
Mr. Pierce will replace MacDonell Roehm, Jr., who is retiring as Chairman and as a director effective as of September 28, 2014.
A copy of the Company’s press release announcing Mr. Pierce’s appointment is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
