Item 8.01 Other Events
On August 13, 2014, Black Panther Mining LLC, a contract mining company for Vectren Fuels, Inc., a subsidiary of Vectren Corporation, was issued an imminent danger order under section 107(a) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977. The facility involved was the Oaktown Preparation Plant at the Oaktown mine complex located near Vincennes, Indiana. On that date, an inspector from the Mine Safety and Health Administration noted three employees of a third party construction contractor working at more than six feet above ground level without an appropriate harness. Management immediately implemented corrective measures and the imminent danger was mitigated.
