Item 8.01 Other Events.
On August 11, 2014, KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing it submitted a New Drug Submission (NDS) to Health Canada seeking approval for the company’s investigational drug, ATX-101 (deoxycholic acid), as an injectable treatment for the reduction of submental fat. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
