On July 23, 2014, Mr. Daniel R. Feehan, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cash America International, Inc. (the “Company”), informed the Company’s Board of Directors of his intent to retire when the current term of his executive employment agreement expires on April 30, 2015. Mr. Feehan will remain on the Company's Board of Directors and will assume the role of Chairman of the Board following his retirement. Jack Daugherty, the Company’s founder and current Chairman of the Board, will step down as Chairman at that time but will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is conducting an internal and external search for a Chief Executive Officer to succeed Mr. Feehan. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
