Item 8.01 Other Events
On July 13, 2014 Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) (SIX: RIGN), (the "Company") announced that it will convene an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (“EGM”). The EGM, which will be open to shareholders of record as of September 3, 2014, will be held at 5 p.m., Zug, Switzerland time, on September 22, 2014, in Zug, Switzerland. Additional details on the EGM will be provided to shareholders in a proxy statement to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Company's press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
