Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 17, 2014, IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release containing its statement regarding the complaint filed on June 16, 2014 by the U.S. Department of Justice. The complaint is in connection with a civil investigative demand issued by the U.S. Department of Justice in June 2010 concerning claims for reimbursement that the Company submitted primarily to Medicare and Medicaid as previously reported in the Company’s filings.
A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
