On June 10, 2014, Geovic Mining Corp. (“Geovic” or the “Company”, TSX:GMC, OTC.BB:GVCM) announced the discovery of a chromite mineral sand deposit in the Bitoi delta in Papua New Guinea. A copy of the press release (the “Original Release”) announcing the discovery is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
On June 11, 2014, the Company issued an amended press release (the “Amended Release”) to correct an error in the tabular information included in the Original Release. A copy of the Amended Release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2 and is incorporated herein by reference.
