Item 8.01. Other Events.
As previously disclosed, the board of directors of New York REIT, Inc. (the “Company”) authorized, and the Company declared, an annualized dividend of $0.46 per share per annum, to take effect following the Company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Going forward, such distributions will be paid to stockholders of record at the close of business on the 8th day of each month, payable on the 15th day of such month, in each case, unless such date is a non-business day.
Accordingly, on June 13, 2014, the Company will pay a distribution of $0.038333333 per share to stockholders of record as of the close of business on June 6, 2014.
A copy of the press release announcing the foregoing is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
