Item 8.01 Other Events.
On May 14, 2014, Shore Bancshares, Inc., or the Company, announced the commencement of an underwritten public offering of 3,000,000 shares of the Company’s common stock. The Company intends to grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase from the Company up to an additional 450,000 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. A copy of the press release issued by the Company announcing the commencement of the offering is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
