ITEM 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On April 28, 2014, Advent Software, Inc. (the “Company”) announced its results of operations for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. A copy of the Company’s press release announcing such results dated April 28, 2014 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1. This Current Report on Form 8-K and the attached exhibits are furnished to, but not filed with, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and shall not be deemed to be incorporated by reference into any of the Company’s filings with the SEC under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.

ITEM 8.01 Other Events

On April 28, 2014, the Company announced that its Board of Directors approved a quarterly cash dividend to its shareholders. The cash dividend payment of $0.13 per common share will be made on July 15, 2014 to shareholders of record as of June 30, 2014. A copy of the press release announcing the quarterly cash dividend is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.3 and is incorporated herein by reference.
