Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 23, 2014, Lamar Advertising Company issued a press release announcing that it received its requested private letter ruling from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service regarding certain matters relevant to its intended election to be taxed as a real estate investment trust (REIT) under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
