Item 5.02   Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
 
On April 7, 2014, we announced that Adam M. Goldstein has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company effective immediately.
 
Mr. Goldstein, 54, had previously served as President of Royal Caribbean International since February 2005 and as its President and Chief Executive Officer since September 2007. Mr. Goldstein has been employed with Royal Caribbean since 1988 in a variety of positions, including Executive Vice President, Brand Operations of Royal Caribbean International, Senior Vice President, Total Guest Satisfaction and Senior Vice President, Marketing. Mr. Goldstein served as National Chair of the United States Travel Association (formerly, Travel Industry Association of America) in 2001.
 
Mr. Goldstein will continue to participate in the compensation and benefit plans in which he was participating prior to his promotion as described in more detail in our Definitive Proxy Statement filed on April 1, 2014.  Mr. Goldstein has not entered into, and no amendments were made to, any material plans, contracts or arrangements in connection with his promotion.
 
A search for a new leader for the Royal Caribbean International line is underway.  In the meantime, Mr. Goldstein will assist with transition while he also takes up his new responsibilities.
