Commencing on April 1, 2014 the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doral Financial Corporation (“Doral Financial”) will be sending a letter to the shareholders of Doral Financial highlighting certain changes made by the Board of Directors and the Compensation Committee to Doral Financial’s compensation policies, practices, procedures and programs during 2013. A copy of the letter of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doral Financial Corporation is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
