On April 1, 2014 Domtar (Canada) Paper Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Domtar Corporation (the “Corporation”) issued a press release announcing its intention to redeem all of its outstanding exchangeable shares on or about June 2, 2014 (the “Redemption Date”).
On the Redemption Date, holders of exchangeable shares will receive, in exchange for each exchangeable share, one share of common stock of the Corporation (plus cash in the amount of all declared and unpaid dividends, if any, provided that the record date for the payment of such dividends is prior to the Redemption Date).
A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
