Item 8.01     Other Events

On March 14, 2014, Crailar Technologies Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release (the "Press Release") announcing that it has received expressions of interest, on a non-brokered deal basis, to raise an aggregate of up to US$3,100,000 by way of a private placement offering of units (each a "Unit") at a subscription price of US$1.25 per Unit.

A copy of the Press Release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
